Davide Oldani, the creator of Cucina POP, a philosophy that emphasizes high quality and accessibility, opened his restaurant D'O in 2003 in his hometown of Cornaredo, near Milan.
Within just one year, he was recognized by the world’s leading food guides as one of the greatest chefs in contemporary Italian cuisine. Before opening D'O, he trained with renowned chefs like Gualtiero Marchesi, Albert Roux, Alain Ducasse, & Pierre Hermé, gaining invaluable experience in the culinary world.
He was awarded the Ambrogino d'Oro by Milan in 2008 for his culinary achievements. In 2013, he shared his entrepreneurial journey at Harvard Business School, with a case study about his restaurant published in the Harvard Business School Review. He also taught a class at the University of Business in Paris, HEC, in 2015.
He expanded his influence into media & business by opening Davide Oldani Cafè at Malpensa Airport in 2014 & hosting two seasons of The Chef on La5. As Expo 2015 Ambassador, he promoted Italy’s culinary culture globally. He has published books like La mia cucina pop & contributed to La Cucina Italiana and Sport Week for over 16 years.
